Lily's Like Lily

Smoothly I handed over the annoying flowers. They were Lily's for my Lily. However, just like Lily annoyed me the damn flowers did too. They played with my nose and eyes. Both streamed. I hadn't slept well last night with them hidden in my trunk. Now, they made me itch-all over.

"James," Lily cooed; "You didn't have to. It's only New Year's after all."

"I wanted to." I said in what I hoped to be an insistent voice. In my head I added `Throw them out.'

"Well..."

My nose cut her off; "Ah-ISHOO! Tchoo! Itchoo!"

"My poor James..."

Affection-she understood.
